The deadline for voter signatures on the six separate recall petitions has now passed. The required number of verified voter signatures for each petition is 192, while the number of signatures submitted on each petition ranges from 235 to 239.

The petitions are now under review by the Lincoln County Clerk, whose responsibility is to verify the signatures and validate the petitions. The County Clerk’s deadline to complete the verification process is June 3, 2026.

Once that process is complete, Waldport’s City Recorder will notify the City Councilors, who will then be faced with the decision to either move forward with a special election or resign from their positions.

If you are downloading and signing one or more single petition (above), and want to turn them in, or want to sign a general petition, but are having difficulty reaching the Recall Committees, we are here to help.  Call or send us an email and we will relay the message to one of their volunteers:
