October 11 was the Saturday of the final weekend that volunteers were going door to door informing the locals about the efforts to Recall the 6 city councilors--all of them senior citizen residents of Waldport.  While this was happening a city employee made a post on the city's official Facebook page that included outlandish and bizarre misinformation.  This post was then shared  by the city council president (one of the councilors who the volunteers endeavor to Recall) in several Facebook groups that cater to those who live in Waldport.

Our coalition interprets this as an effort to sabotage and interfere with the efforts of our volunteers, as well as an act of intimidation toward those who are considering opening their doors to the volunteers and/or signing the petitions to Recall the 6 city councilors.
