The following sworn affidavit was provided by Bruce Lee Hudson, also known as “Zeus.” Mr. Hudson came to the attention of Justice for Waldport after investigators learned of a public comment he posted on a memorial page for Kate-Lynn Cates. According to Mr. Hudson, he had developed a friendship with Kate-Lynn and was deeply affected by her death. He requested the opportunity to provide a statement in order to share information he believed was relevant to Kate-Lynn’s experiences and to support efforts to preserve and document her account of abuse, trauma, and survival. Mr. Hudson also expressed a desire to contribute information he believed was relevant to Justice for Waldport’s efforts to collect, preserve, and make available information and records relating to matters of public concern.
