This page contains a collection of documents relating to allegations of child sexual abuse involving Greg Dunn and subsequent investigations conducted by law enforcement and child welfare authorities in Kern County, California.
The primary document is a 33-page Bakersfield Police Department General Offense Report. Although the report was printed with redactions by the Bakersfield Police Department on May 28, 2026 and later provided to the reporting victim, the investigation documented within the report began with an original offense report dated August 31, 2009. The report was compiled by Detective Joel Luera as part of his investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse involving Greg Dunn.
This recently obtained report was received through the reporting victim who obtained the document from the Bakersfield Police Department and subsequently forwarded it to a private investigator. The private investigator later provided the report to Justice for Waldport. The report published on this page contains the redactions made by the Bakersfield Police Department, along with additional redactions made by Justice for Waldport to protect the privacy of individuals not directly involved in matters of public concern.
Also included is a February 23, 2010 form letter from Monica Hernandez, Social Worker with the Kern County Department of Human Services. This letter was previously shared publicly by the Dunn family and is referenced in discussions surrounding the allegations and investigations documented on this page. The Kern County Department of Human Services investigation is also referenced within the Bakersfield Police Department report.
Following these documents is a statement from the private investigator currently working on this case. This statement speaks to the California Department of Human Services form letter and how it "cannot reasonably be used as evidence that Greg and Sheila Dunn were cleared of all allegations of child sexual abuse or physical abuse."
Justice for Waldport has published current statements of 2 of the alleged victims referenced in this report. The following links navigate readers to those statements:
