On July 14, 2025 and July 15, 2025 the Lincoln County Clerk officially filed six Recall petitions, each representing one of the six Waldport City Councilors. These Recall efforts were put in place by members of the community who felt, after struggling to be seen, heard and treated with respect, there was no other remedy but to take it upon themselves to set the city's government on a healthy course.
How can you help?
The petitions are the first step toward Recalling the city councilors. You can help by signing your name on each petition which indicates that you want THE PEOPLE of the city of Waldport to hold a special Recall election. Our goal is to get 200+ signatures on each petition.
Then what?
Once complete, the petitions will be filed with the Waldport City Recorder who will forward them on to the Lincoln County Clerk. Each petition signature will be verified at the County Clerk's office. Once the signatures are verified, there may very well be a special election to Recall the six city councilors.
